The newly renovated Inova Fairfax Heart and Vascular concourse, across from a brand-new Retail Pharmacy, features royal purple art niches. Being so close to the pharmacy, DAS proposed art educational content appropriate for the pharmacy entry while building on and continuing their nature-based healing art program showcasing local nature photography throughout the building. Single art installations incorporating multiple macro plant images and printed on aluminum showcase many medicinal plants of Virginia. A story plaque beside each installation identifies featured medicinal plants including (from left to right) Butterfly Weed, Sassafras, Wild Geranium, Wild Ginger, American Pokeweed, Black Haw, Columbine, Sumac, and Virginia Bluebells.
