When Lake Health set out to build the 300,000 square-foot TriPoint Medical Center, they made a commitment to the community to redefine healthcare by putting patients first. They intended to create a flexible healing environment designed to promote rest and relaxation while offering opportunities to provide versatile future options to accommodate technology. A multi-disciplinary approach led to an integrated and cohesive visual experience influenced by the surrounding mature forest, wetlands and a pristine stream.
TriPoint Medical Center called on Distinctive Art Source to help create a multimedia art program featuring local artists to enhance their healing environment through evidence and research based art selections. Distinctive Art Source collaborated with the owner, architect, and designers and and together they created an environment that promotes healthy habits for staff members, integrated interior and exterior continuity and ultimately provides positive patient, visitor and community experiences enhanced by picturesque natural surroundings reflected in the hospital’s dynamic art program featuring works by multiple local artists. A combination of 347 multi media pieces of art were combined to reflect the warm wood and stone interiors while representing a wide spectrum of local art talent and depicting familiar images of Northeast Ohio.
