Mercy Medical Center NICU

Return to Portfolio

Mercy Medical Center NICU

Rogers, Arkansas

Through art, Mercy Medical Center wanted to surround NICU babies and their families with hope, love, and community support. A photography forum developed by local photographer Lisa McSpadden of Lisa Mac Photography, helped DAS understand the needs of NICU families and staff members. Together we found new parents were seeking hope, comfort and joy during their hospital visits.

Thanks to Lisa’s ability to capture the personality of each child in her portraits, a gallery featuring NICU graduates offers families Images of Hope. Above the din and bleeps of the machinery, families meet NICU Grads. Their smiles and stories bring joy, comfort and most of all hope to families and staff members. Staff found the portraits to be encouraging as they became daily reminders of the importance of their work.

Images of Hope continue to grow in the form of scrapbooks.
