Art Challenge: Northeast Georgia Health Systems (NGHS) continued their partnership with Distinctive Art Source (DAS) to create a uniform image among NGHS hospitals. The town of Braselton is nestled in the Appalachian foothills, 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, and for the first time would have its own hospital. With small town roots, NGMC Braselton desired an authentic art experience that involved local artists and supported their historic heritage. Capturing Braselton’s local heritage and natural views were integral to the art committee, whose mission was to feature art in all public spaces of the new hospital while reflecting the diversity and local beauty found in Northeast Georgia. Involving local artists ensured artwork reflected authentic landscape, flowers and natural resources as seen through the eyes of local talent.
