Call for Artists: Riverside Health System would like to purchase original and reproduction art by local artists (in both traditional and contemporary materials and fabrication methods) for their 250,000 sq. ft. Pavilion at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA and the new 105,000 sq. ft. Riverside Doctors’ Hospital in Williamsburg, VA. This artwork will be featured in multiple public areas in both hospital locations. Artwork will be selected and placed based on content, style and cost.
To: Artists currently living or working in Virginia whose works meet the required criteria described below will be given first consideration.

Required Criteria: Research has determined that art can help reduce stress and offer the possibility of improved patient outcomes when selected subject matter is healthcare appropriate. Traditional and contemporary styles of artwork will be considered equally. Dark shadows, stormy skies or confrontational figurative images will not be accepted. Art Sizes: 20” x 30” or larger
Art Mediums: Sculpture, Oil on Canvas, Acrylic on Canvas, Pastel, Watercolor, Colored Pencil, Mosaic Tile, Quilt, Glass, Fiber, Full Color and B&W Photography, Metal and Mixed Medium.
Submittal Instructions: The artist must submit up to 4 images per medium. Include description of medium, image size, and artist’s pricing for each submitted image. Submitted images do not have to be available as they are to represent the style in which you work. Submittals can be digital images, transparencies, or printed images. No original works will be accepted as a submittal. All submittals must be received by Distinctive Art Source on or before September 30. Riverside Health System will not accept any submittals.
