DAS President Barbara Harriman Obtains EDAC Certification

Distinctive Art Source set a goal in 2018 to promote progress by adding to and sharing our knowledge base. To hit this target, a primary objective for DAS President / Creative Director Barbara Harriman became acquiring her EDAC certification. In March 2018 Barbara became EDAC certified. Her certification allows the DAS team, through the application of EDAC processes and shared research results, to become a part of the future of healthcare design.

DAS has spent the last 15 years practicing many of the 8 EBD steps. While in the past, our process terminology was unique to our company, moving forward we will use common EBD terms to identify process stages. Project case studies conducted by DAS will now identify and incorporate EBD process language when describing project goals, challenges and art solutions. DAS will continue to keep clients up to date on research findings and best practices as they apply to healthcare art selection and placement.

DAS is dedicated to contributing to and sharing EBD information by connecting our clients to relevant information, so they can make the best-informed decisions. Together, as members of interdisciplinary EDAC design teams, we can base decisions about the built environment on credible research to achieve the best possible outcomes.  Click here for resources to assist you in obtaining EDAC certification.
