DAS Speaks with Students at Marymount University
DAS has been back to school this fall – helping educate the next generation of interior designers about evidence-based art in the healthcare environment. Barbara Harriman, DAS president and creative director, discussed interdisciplinary collaboration at Marymount University in Arlington, Va. A class of 15 seniors from the Undergraduate Health + Wellbeing Studio Marymount’s new School of Design, Arts, and Humanities were in attendance.
“Collaboration is an integral part of all design projects,” said Barbara. “Having the opportunity to share real world experiences allows me to help educate today’s students and is a great way to inform our next generation of designers.”
After the presentation, the students were able to work with Barbara on the current IIDA competition projects. Barbara has worked with Marymount students in the past and always enjoys supporting the program.
