DAS Welcomes Abby Lenon to the Team!
We are excited to welcome Abby Lenon, to our Distinctive Art Source team as an Associate/Art Consultant! Acting as a client liaison, Abby works to understand clients’ needs and connect them with art that complements the space and contributes to a healing environment. She brings to the table a diverse background, skillset and perspective, making her a strong asset to the DAS team and our clients.
While her family is from Pennsylvania, Abby was born in Belgium. Moving frequently as a child inspired this self-declared army brat to change up the scenery again as an adult. She and her husband have lived all over the country, from Philadelphia to Los Angeles, absorbing different cultures and art along the way. The pair recently made the trek back to Virginia to be closer to family and focus on their children.
Abby is EDAC certified with an educational background in art history and interior design. This special combination gives Abby deeper insight into how art can help to create healing spaces. She adds value to each project with her art knowledge and, experience in the architectural design industry, and evidence-based background.
With past roles in corporate interior design and architecture industry sales with a healthcare focus, Abby comes equipped with a client-minded perspective and sharp communication skills. This expertise will be invaluable to Abby in her role as Art Consultant, which involves meeting with executive level clients, creating art location plans, budgets and project schedules as well as commissioning local artists for projects.
“I feel so blessed to have found a job that is tailor made for me,” said Abby. With a combined love of art, art history and serving healthcare clients, Abby looks forward to creating beautiful spaces not just for hospital patients, but also their caretakers. “Medical staff and facilities save lives but often struggle with dull and uninspiring surroundings… this job creates the perfect opportunity to use my creativity to inspire all kinds of people and give real meaning to what I do.”
